Domain & DNS - How to Point your DNS Nameserver to our Google Cloud DNS
This article will guide you on how to update your nameserver to our Google Cloud DNS
Pre-configuration Steps
Note: Before initiating any domain transfers ALWAYS make sure DNS settings are backed up and copied to a Google Sheet
How to Backup your DNS Records
Login to Your DNS Hosting Provider:
If your domain is hosted on Namecheap, GoDaddy, Cloudflare, or any other DNS provider, log in to your account.
Navigate to DNS Management:
Find the section where you manage your DNS settings. This is usually labeled as DNS Management, DNS Settings, DNS Zone, or Advanced DNS.
Copy All DNS Records:
List the DNS records (A, CNAME, MX, TXT, etc.) shown on the page.
Manually copy the details (name, type, value, TTL) into a file, such as a text file or spreadsheet for easy reference.
Steps
Open your domain portal through your domain provider website.
Go to the “DNS settings” page of your domain provider.

Then update the nameserver (Please do note that the elate team will provide the new Google Cloud DNS nameserver). After updating the nameserver hit the “Save or Submit” button.

You’ve successfully pointed your domain to our Google Cloud DNS.
